Reducing Stress Towards Tests

What is the most stressful part about writing a test? Not knowing exactly what is going to be on it? The thought of failure? Giving a detailed outline of what will be on the test, a quality study package, will give the learner the reassurance that they are focusing on all the right material, and not overwhelming themselves with less important information. How about writing two test? Two variations of a final exam can be written, on two different days. The student can then use the better of the two outcomes for their final mark. This gives the student some experience with the test, eliminating the unknown of what exactly they are in for on the second test day. The first test can also be given to the students as a practice exam. No one is fearful of practice exams. But if the student happens to produce a better result on the practice exam, then it will be the one that counts.

Here is a great article on reducing test anxiety.
